About the Farm Guide
The Farm Guide, now in its 15th year, is published by Tilth Alliance and connects consumers with what’s sustainable, local and in season from farms, farmers markets, retailers, restaurants and specialty food producers. One of the oldest “buy local” programs in the country, the Farm Guide brings farm and table together in community, offering comprehensive tools and information to help people make better food choices. The program offers three platforms including the annual printed Farm Guide, online directory and award-winning mobile app.
The Farm Guide is Everywhere!
Print: Available in print and online, consumers use the guide year-round to look for seasonal CSAs, U-Picks, and farmers markets; plan trips to lavender fields and pumpkin patches; and find grocery retailers who support local producers. We publish 100,000 copies in early April, distribute to over 700 locations, and reach approximately 275,000 readers throughout Puget Sound and beyond.
Online: Got farms? We do. Famers markets, too! Our online directory features an ever-growing statewide directory of Washington farms and farmers markets. The searchable database contains over 340 farm products and activities, CSAs, U-Picks, recipes, events, agri-tourism maps and guides, retail options for local food and other good food resources!
Mobile: The Farm Guide in your pocket! The award-winning Fresh mobile app offers quick and easy access to each farm, farmers market, farm product/activity, recipe and event on our website. The app is free for Android and Apple phones.
