Top it all with some grilled crostini and mama mia - now that's a show stopper! The menu includes: 

Fried morels with tartar sauce, butter poached lobster mushrooms with watercress and yogurt, seared salmon with purslane and pickled huckleberries, and stewed trailing blackberries with dumplings and cream.

Please note the menu may vary based on availability.

During Chefs in Our Field farm to table dinners, guests will have the opportunity to meet local food producers and enjoy an educational farm walk around Newaukum Valley Farm, a certified organic vegetable farm. An intimate five-course meal prepared by renowned chefs will highlight the bounty of Washington State. Fellow producers and artisans will join the discussion at the table to explain how their product are grown and crafted. 

The season three featured chefs are Chef Nathan Crave, Chef Brian Walczyk and Chef Desmond Bonow, all head chefs of Tom Douglas Restaurants in Seattle. Also cooking are; Chef Mathew Woolen from Seattle's The Old Sage and Mackinaw's restaurant owner, Chef Laurel Khan of Chehalis. Farmers and Producers from Black Sheep Creamery, Domina Dairy, Jacob's Creamery, Whitewood Cider Company, 3 Magnets Brewing, Bateaux Cellars and Provisions Mushroom Farm will also be among those featured this season. 

Tickets for Chefs in Our Field start at $80 per person.

Continuing on Saturday, July 25, you’ll learn to identify, protect and track our Pacific Northwest native bumble bees! Learn several aspects of bumble bee biology. In addition to life-history and ecology, you’ll learn which species are most at risk in our region, the threats they face, and what you can do to help protect them. Focus on identification of native bumble bees, as well as different techniques for surveying, observing, and photographing bumble bees, including instruction on how to participate inBumble Bee Watch, a new citizen science project to track and conserve North American bumble bees.

In addition, vendors will have products and books available including bee houses, supplies for solitary bees, bumble bees, mason bees, and plants to attract pollinators.
