Visit Alpenfire Cider, Washington's first certified organic hard cider for a taste of traditional ciders and vinegars hand crafted from our orchard, garden and greenhouse.In our small orchard we grow the specialty varieties of apples and pears that are needed to ferment cider that is healthful, flavorful and unique. Farm practices: Our orchard was planted in 2003 for the traditional style ciders that can only be made with apples as unusual as the names they carry, Foxwhelp, Kingston Black, Brown Snout and many others. These apples are a wealth of the concentrated flavors and tannin required to make dry and delectable ciders that speak of the history and traditions of cidermaking around the world. We also make heirloom varieties of cider in the more familiar Northwest style with higher acidity and residual sugars. Our ciders are further fermented to create our line of vinegar. Orleans is a barrel fermented vinegar with the sweet complex flavor of cider apples and barrel aging, Incendiary, Elderperry and Spring tonic are made on site and infused with herbs and fruit for incredible flavor. The small shaker style bottles they are packed in make it easy to "Shake your Probiotics" wherever you happen to be.
