Description:

Healthy Soils = Healthy Families = Healthy Communities!  Now in its seventh year, First Light Farm & Learning Center continually strives to educate ourselves and our customers (whether CSA, U-Pick, mini farmers, or the public in general) about our interdependence with the natural world and our ever increasing need to care for and protect the vital relationship between healthy soils and the well-being of our own bodies and the communities we live in. First Light Farm is a small vegetable farm (under eight acres) that welcomes weekend visitors for U-Pick, to purchase from our farm store, enjoy one of our classes or dinners, or farm alongside us as mini farmers. Come get your hands dirty and discover the rejuvenating power of healthy soil. Certified Naturally Grown. Voted Rural Business of King County 2016.

Farming practices: First Light Farm & Learning Center is a low-till farm that uses sustainable farming practices to help our soil be as healthy as possible.  These practices include cover cropping, crop rotation, hand cultivation, purchasing non-GMO seeds, and the use of organically-approved compost and fertilizer.

CSA details: Veggies, herbs and flowers. Pickup in Greenwood, Phinney Neighborhood in Seattle. June-November.
