Fresh, local, and organic produce at the LaConner roundabout. Cut flowers, local cheeses, and flour! Don't miss our darn good tomatoes! Hedlin Farms is a third generation family farm growing organic and specialty greenhouse produce, berries, small grains, and more on about 400 acres in the heart of the Skagit Valley near the mouth of the Skagit River. Our farm includes seed crops, a greenhouse and custom transplant operation, small grains, and a fresh market operation serving our La Conner farmstand and CSA, co-ops, restaurants, and wholesale buyers from Bellingham to Seattle, and three farmers markets a week during the growing season. We grow close to 40 crops and more than 100 different varieties of field grown, certified organic and spray-free greenhouse produce. These include heirloom and beefsteak tomatoes, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, as well as beets, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, chard, sweet corn, cucumbers, kale, lettuce, onions, parsley, peas, peppers, pumpkins, spinach, squash, wheat, barley, pumpkins. U-Pick flowers available in season. We are committed to the long-term stewardship of our land and waters, the health of our workers, and to growing the highest quality produce the magic Skagit has to offer. Farm practices: We are committed as a farm and as a family to the long-term stewardship of the land and work to achieve this through a combination of long-range planning, certified organic growing practices and biological pest controls, including: integrated pest management, flaming, on-farm composting, timing plantings to periods of low pest activity, and by simply weeding and watering to promote plant health. All of the diseases and pests in our greenhouse tomato and vegetable operation are controlled culturally and biologically. We grow grain crops to help break pest and disease cycles between our vegetable crop cycles and also actively integrate cover crops into our crop rotation within and between seasons.
