CSA weekly harvest, large variety of vegetables, herbs, flowers. Farm Nursery sells chemical-free veggie starts & large tomato plants that we grow right here!
The Root Connection is the first CSA farm in Washington, established in 1987. We have been growing local, chemical-free produce for the community at our 20-acre site in the Sammamish Valley between Woodinville and Redmond.
Members pick up weekly harvests for 21 weeks starting the first week of June. Our main distribution is at the farm location, which is "open campus", where members can enjoy walking the paths through the growing crops, help children harvest a few things from the kids garden and teach them where food comes from and how it is grown. In addition to vegetables that we harvest for the CSA shares, members can u-pick a variety of herbs (including basil!), greens such as kale, chard, and also a bouquet of flowers at no additional cost.
We also offer Farm tours starting April 26th-June. Come check out our Farm Nursery that offes sales of veggie starts and large tomato plants that we grow right here chemical free for better performance in NW gardens.
What makes the Root Connection so special? It isn't just a place to pick up your weekly vegetables - members can fully experience the farm and see how we all are connected to the earth and the gifts it gives. And unlike box delivery services, we grow produce right here for superior taste and nutrition.
Farm practices: We have been practicing chemical free growing for 30 years (even chemicals allowed in Organic food production). Our soil is enriched with our own compost and Walts Organic Fertilizer. We use organic seeds when possible, and use no products containing GMO material.
