Farm practices: Bio-intensive gardening is considered to be the highest level of organic gardening. It is a whole-system approach that brings together nourishment, efficiency and sustainability. French Intensive gardening, originally developed for use in narrow back yards in France, yields the most produce for the least area of any realistic gardening method. Using these methods, which include deep soil preparation, inter cropping, companion planting and whole-systems approach, results in a garden that produces a complete diet in the smallest area.
