Description:

Sign up for a weekly box of organic vegetables and fruit all year. Free flowers, herbs and greens for members!

Join Take Root Farm for a weekly box of fresh, organic produce!
During our summer season (June-Oct), members enjoy an assortment of seasonal vegetables most of which are grown right here and picked right before you get them. Boxes also contain fresh organic fruit. We encourage our CSA family to take in the beautiful surroundings of the farm while u-picking herbs, flowers and greens to add to their box for FREE!

We offer weekly boxes during our co-op season (Oct.-May) too. This is a great way to keep eating the freshest, organic produce around while getting a better variety than the local grocery stores offer. Members save money and stay connected to the farm too. Learn how to store and prepare produce with recipes and tips sent out in our farm news as well as updates on farm activity from time to time.

True CSA is about so much more then a box of produce. It is an experience!
Here is just a few of the comments we have received . . .

I have two small grandson's and one of the reasons I love being part of your "food farm" as we call it, is to have them experience your amazing farm.
Last summer while wandering the u-pick flower fields, my grandson would help choose what colors he liked best. He would run down the patches of grass between each row, noticing things that I did not. And oh how he loved watching the bees. The first time through your herb garden I showed him how to gently touch the leaves and then smell his fingers. Many times after this I would watch him do just that.
As we walk into the barn to pick up our produce, I let him choose the box. He helps me unload it into our totes and pick out extras if we need any. But my favorite moment if I had to pick just one would be as we climb into the car, he chose's the snack, usually a crisp, juicy apple or summertime plum.
As I think about all the special memories made there on your farm. I cherish these times with my grandson. I have even brought my camera to capture him amongst your gardens last summer and they are by far some of my favorite pictures! -Dawn

I appreciate your hard work and beautiful healthy fruits and veggies you provide us. You are the 3rd CSA farm we've tried and by far the best. All of the produce is fresh and flavorful. Each week I look forward to our box of goodies.

Wow, our box this week was amazing. I shucked the corn,....then I exclaimed over it's beauty,....then I kissed it - my kids thought that was funny,....then I proceeded to eat it raw. it was SO GOOD. Best corn I've ever had. Thank you.
-Kristina

This has become the highlight of my week and I always look forward to it. Throughout the week I can "revisit" through the enjoyment of the herbs and flowers in vases in my apartment. Since moving to Washington two years ago and finding Take Root Farm, I am certain that I am living in Paradise.
Thank you so very much!
Janice

We LOVE your garden and are very thankful to be a part of it, EVERYTHING is EXCELLENT...I feel like I am in the candy store and look forward to picking up my goodies every week.

Farming practices: Our produce is grown responsibly with care for the earth and those eating from it. We do not use any chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides. We focus on keeping the soil healthy by incorporating compost, natural, clean organic fertilizers, cover crops and good farm practices. Most of our work is done by hand from the time we plant to the time we harvest.

CSA details: Our 2017 Summer CSA Season begins May 31st and ends October 13th. Please visit our website www.takerootfarm.com for more info on year round offerings.
