At CW Woodshop you will find unique and hard to find local wood, a sawmill facility that can custom mill lumber up to 30 feet and a staff of professional woodworkers who produce beautiful custom furniture. We work with arborists, developers and homeowners to salvage local timber from trees already slated to be cut down. Our locally salvaged, milled and dried lumber is used in furniture and woodwork at CW Woodshop and by local architects, interior designers, other local furniture builders and contractors. We have a large selection of slabs ranging from 2″ to 4″ thick, 20″ to 50″ wide and up to 16' of length. Every piece is selected and cut to reveal its individual splendor.
Every piece of furniture we produce is:
-made with the highest level of craftsmanship.
-one of a kind.
-made from sustainably harvested local wood and comes with the “story” of it’s tree.
-has a non-toxic finish that brings out the wood’s true colors.
Our mission is to create meaningful, unique and high quality wood products utilizing local timber in a process creating near zero waste for customers who appreciate the beauty and community value of sustainably using local renewable natural resources. We mill, kiln dry, and build all of our wood products on Bainbridge Island. We choose non-toxic finishes so the natural color and pattern of each piece of wood shows and we keep chemicals out of our community. The wood waste produced in our shop is recycled into energy or soil amendment. The story and natural beauty of each piece of wood helps customers connect to our local environment and economy.
