1 cucumber, peeled, seeded and sliced thick
2 sprigs fresh mint, washed (about ¼ cup loosely packed)
¼-½ cup white granulated sugar
1 cup fresh-squeezed juice from 5 lemons, or 4 lemons and 1 lime
6 cups cool or room temperature water
Extra mint, lemon, lime, and cucumber slices, for optional garnish


Place cucumber and mint sprigs at the bottom of a large pitcher and sprinkle with sugar. Stir to combine.
Pour lemon/lime juice on top of cucumber, mint and sugar. Stir to combine.
Stir in water and taste for sweetness, add more sugar to desired sweetness.
Refrigerate for at least ½ hour before serving to allow flavors to infuse.
If desired, garnish with mint leaves in glass, and/or lemon/lime/cucumber slices on the rim. 

Serving Size:
Makes 7 cups.
