Green Smoothies


2 cups fresh spinach
1 green apple
½ medium avocado
1 cup milk of choice (I used unsweetened almond milk)
1 cup water
1 cup ice


Not everyone loves the taste of green vegetables, especially the leafy ones. Spinach has a smooth, subtle flavor that can be hidden incredibly well in a smoothie. Don’t let the green color frighten you! With a little avocado for a smooth texture and sweetness from an apple, it will be worth the exotic color. Use this recipe as a refreshing snack to satisfy your sweet tooth while sneaking in your greens.

Peel, core, and chop apple into chunks and add to blender. Add the rest of the ingredients to blender and blend until smooth. Add more ice if desired.

Serving Size:
Makes 2 16-ounce smoothies.
