Lavender Marinated Berries

Ingredients

1 tablespoon lavender blossoms
1 tablespoon sugar
2-3 cups prepared mixed berries: loganberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and sliced strawberries
2-3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

Instructions

1. Crush lavender blossoms slightly. Add to the sugar. Mix well and sprinkle over the berries. If using raspberries or blackberries, crush a few to add more berry juice to the marinade.

2. Pour balsamic vinegar over berries and refrigerate for one hour. Do not stir.

3. Stir and serve over vanilla ice cream, coconut sorbet or shortcake.
